One additional piece of rationale - we have seen growing mis-trust of bit.ly links as people read or hear real or apocryphal stories about them being used to blindly lead unsuspecting clickers to less than savory destinations. A brand-shortened URL could help rebuild that trust. Great post - thanks.</description>

		<description>This is something I&#039;ve been doing for clients since early 2000. Also a great way to track keywords and referrers sometimes lost in the redirect.  This concept also works for tracking simple response in direct mail campaigns.
